AFL season comes to a close for both sides after disappointing campaigns.
Perhaps fittingly for the West Coast Eagles that their last game in the 2013 AFL was a disaster.
Before week one many were tipping the Eagles to be one of the teams to beat this season and were almost a lock for a top-four finish.
But their mistake and injury plagued season has come to a close after being thumped by the Adelaide Crows by 86 points at Patersons Stadium.
The visitors led at every break as cruised to a morale boosting victory 19.15 (129) to 5.13 (43) after they too missed out on a place in the top eight.
