The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has enjoyed yet another eye-catching campaign between the sticks for the Premier League high flyers, so much so that the likes of top-flight champions Manchester City, as well as giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all reported to be interested in signing the shot stopper come the end of this season.
The 25-year-old himself has apparently told close friends that if he had a choice between those four clubs, then he would prefer to move to Old Trafford, where current keepers David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard are both fighting it out at present to take hold of the No 1 jersey.
However, at the Ethiad stadium, Begovic fears that he would simply warm the substitutes’ bench due to the presence of England international Joe Hart.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis, who brought the player to the Britannia stadium from Portsmouth for as little as £3m, would be reluctant to let him leave the club, although with Begovic contracted to remain with the Potteries until 2016, they would be demanding £15m for his services.
