The 25-year-old striker has established himself as one of the finest forwards in Portugal this season, netting nine times in just 13 Liga Sagres starts for Braga.
Eder has also shone in the Champions League group stage and laid on a fine assist for strike-partner Alan against Manchester United, in Braga’s 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford.
With Emmanuel Adebayor currently at the African Cup of Nations with Togo and Jermain Defoe rumoured to be facing four weeks out with a pelvic injury, Spurs are in dyer need of a new striker before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
But the club reportedly want to bring in Eder in the summer, with Braga valuing the Portugal international at €9m (£7.7m).
Spurs head-coach Andre Villas-Boas worked with Eder at Academica in 2009/2010 and knows the player well, but the lethal finisher has improved with age and plenty of European clubs are interested.
Turkish trio Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas have all been linked with a move for Eder, although Gala confirmed a deal to sign Didier Drogba on Monday so are unlikely to be interested in a move for the Braga man this summer.
