Tottenham captain Michael Dawson has signed a new three-year deal.
The 29-year-old is Spurs’ longest serving player having joined the club from Nottingham Forest in 2005.
The centre back has made nearly 300 appearances for the North London outfit, scoring 10 goals.
Spurs accepted a £8m bid from QPR for Dawson last summer but the player rejected the move to Loftus Road in order to fight for his place at Spurs.
Following the departures of Steven Caulker and William Gallas, Dawson has established himself as first choice alongside Jan Vertonghen at White Hart Lane this season, although he faces competition from new boy Vlad Chiriches and fit again Younes Kaboul.
