Man Utd may well have moved closer to sealing a move for Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale after reports claimed he has agreed on an exit next summer with Florentino Perez.
With just 10 appearances in all competitions to his name so far this season due to injuries continuing to hamper him, it’s been a difficult period for the Welshman.
In turn, unless he can put his current problems behind him, it could spell the end of his time in Madrid, but that doesn’t appear to have put Man Utd off it seems.
However, whether or not their reported valuation of €60m for the Welshman is enough to convince Madrid to sell is unclear, as that will be a big loss on the £85m that they spent to sign the former Spurs man in 2013, as per BBC Sport.
Given Bale’s injury history, the drop is in his value is arguably a fair assessment. Still, reported interest from United is a little surprising given that his problems will continue to be a concern unless they can find a solution.
Real Madrid are seemingly ready to move on and shuffle things up. Zinedine Zidane’s side have struggled this season both domestically and in Europe to reach the levels that they showed last season, and so selling Bale would raise funds for them to go out and strengthen again with a more reliable option.
