5. Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool – £3.2m-a-year
Many Reds fans would argue that this hefty wage was justified as since taking over at Anfield in 2012 the Northern Irishman has achieved great things with the club.
That first term in charge was steady but littered with mistakes, however the signings of Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge in January 2013 have worked brilliantly and now the Merseysiders are on course for Champions League qualification.
