The Chieftains set for 2012 UK tour

The Chieftains have confirmed details of a twelve-date UK tour for next May and June.
The hit Irish traditional folk band will embark on the tour to celebrate forty years of music. Formed in 1962, the band have won six Grammy awards, from eighteen nominations. They are also the recipients of a BBC Radio 2 Lifetime Achievement Award. Their tour will kick off on May 29th at Dublin's Grand Canal Theatre, and conclude on June 16th at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium.

Cardiff, St David's Hall - June 3rd
Birmingham, Symphony Hall - June 5th

Liverpool, Philarmonic Hall - June 10th
York, Barbican - June 12th
Manchester, Bridgewater Hall - June 13th
Newcastle, City Hall - June 15th
