The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-14 in Week 3 of the NFL preseason.
The Buccaneers took a first half lead of 24-0 but were outscored 14-0 in the third quarter. However, the Bills were unable to rally and the Buccaneers tacked on a field goal in the last five minutes of the game, leaving the final score at 27-14.
Bucs QB Josh McCown was relatively sharp, going 13 of 16 for 112 yards with a TD and an INT, giving him a passer rating of 90.6 – the best of any QB in the game. RB CJ Spiller also struggled, losing a fumble of his own in the first quarter which the Bucs turned into a TD drive. Manuel was able to recover in the third quarter, leading the Bills on two TD drives in the 3rd quarter before leaving the game.
