Polish goalkeeper now a fan of the club.
Arsenal’s Polish international goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny has insisted he has no intention of leaving the club, according to Sky Sports.
The Gunners shot stopper went on to claim he is now a supporter of the club and cannot imagine appearing for any other side.
The timing coincides with the emergence of reports that Arsenal are in the market for a new goalkeeper.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of goalkeepers in recent weeks, including Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina and Simon Mignolet after reports emerged that manager Arsene Wenger wanted to bring in some competition for the 22 year old goalie
‘Ever since I signed for the club, I’ve become an Arsenal fan’ Szczesney told the Arsenal Player, without explaining whether this would be true of a new club also where he to leave the Emirates Stadium.
‘It feels like it’s more than just me playing and doing my best on a Saturday afternoon. I feel like I have a much bigger part to play at this club. It means that little bit more to me.’
There has been no word from the London side on what impact Szczesny’s outpouring of emotion will have on Arsenal’s search for a new goalkeeper.
