Swans ready to bring in Stoke striker Jones.
Swansea are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones according to The Daily Mail.
The Swans are looking for attacking reinforcements at the Liberty Stadium with current forward Danny Graham looking increasingly likely to leave the club during the current transfer window.
Stoke rejected a bid from a the Welsh club at the weekend, rumoured to have been in the region of £3.5 million but Swansea are ready to return with an improved bid as they look to seal their man.
Graham has attracted the interest of a number of clubs in recent weeks, including the likes of Sunderland, Reading and Norwich City. The striker has found himself increasingly marginalised under boss Michael Laudrup, despite finding his way back into the team in recent weeks and marking his return to first-team football with a string of goals.
Both player and club remain set on a winter exit for Graham, despite the forward helping fire his side to the verge of a historic League Cup final.
Jones has found himself out of the first team at Stoke with manager Tony Pulis appearing to favour the likes of Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch. Laudrup is reported to be a big fan on the player’s strength and physical presence.
