Lampard is set to leave the the European Champions this summer and has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Arsenal, LA Galaxy and Juventus.
Pulis – whose side host Chelsea in the Premier League tomorrow – has been quick to dismiss the prospect of the 34-year-old joining Stoke, despite the presence of other ageing stars like Peter Crouch and Michael Owen at the club.
Asked about the possibility of the England international, who joined Chelsea from West Ham in 2001, becoming a Potters player, Pulis said: “I think if he doesn’t sign for Chelsea, Frank will have other options and ideas in his mind.
“He has played down south all his life and I can’t see him wanting to move up north.
“I think if Frank was going to go anywhere, I’m sure it would be down south.”
