Star of West End show Wicked set to continue role into 2012

Rachel Tucker is to continue playing Wickeds leading witch Elphaba into 2012, it has been confirmed.
Wicked, a musical that follows the untold story of the Witches of Oz, has become one of the most popular shows available in London's West End since opening in 2006. It has been seen by nearly four million theatregoers and won the 2010 Olivier Audience Award.
Speaking about his leading cast member, the production's Executive Producer Michael McCabe said, Since first joining our cast in March 2010, Rachel has thrilled audiences and critics alike with her powerful and passionate performance as Elphaba. We are all absolutely thrilled that Rachel has now decided to continue leading the company with her extraordinary professionalism and great dedication to the role we couldnt be more proud of her success.
Wicked tickets are on sale for shows running until October 2012 at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre.
