As the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh quickly approaches, Sri Lanka and the West Indies are using one of their last available opportunities for a warm-up match.

The Sri Lankans are in good form having cruised to victory in the recent Asia Cup and although the West Indians defeated England in their last T20 series, the sub-continental team are expected to seize victory in this clash.

Ahead of the fifth edition of this tournament Sri Lanka will be looking to win it for the first time in their history, having reached the final on two previous occasions.

They were defeated at the final hurdle in both 2009 by Pakistan and again in 2012 by the same opponents they face today.

Lasith Malinga also has more wickets in the World T20 then any other bowler with 33 and they will enter the competition among the favourites.

As holders however, the West Indies can not be written off and in players such as Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy and Sunil Narine they possess match winners.
