Sheffield United take on Bristol City in the opening match of the 2014/15 League One season.
Where: Bramall Lane, Sheffield.
When: Saturday 9 August, 12.15 BST.
Live stream: NOW TV Sky Sports day pass.
The 2014/15 League One season starts with Sheffield United taking on Bristol City at Bramall Lane.
The Blades will be without new signings James Wallace and Michael Higdon due to fitness concerns.
Wallace was signed on a two-year deal this summer after his contract at Tranmere Rovers expired, but is missing with a groin problem, whilst Higdon – who joined from NEC Nijmegen – is also short of match sharpness.
However, manager Nigel Clough does have fellow new boys Chris Basham, Andy Butler, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Ben Davies, Harrison McGahey and Marc McNulty to call upon if required.
For City they have no new injury problems going into the game with United, with defender Karleigh Osborne the only concern for boss Steve Cotterill.
Cotterill has also been busy in the transfer market and has signed six new faces, with Luke Ayling, Wade Elliott, Luke Freeman, Mark Little, Korey Smithare and Aaron Wilbraham all in contention.
The match will be live on Sky Sports with coverage starting at 1pm. If you don’t have a Sky subscription why not grab yourself a NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass – Pay As You Go access to all 6 Sky Sports channels for the first time ever!
