Veteran enforcer commits short-term future to Super Hoops.
Midfielder Shaun Derry has agreed a new one-year contract extension with Premier League bottom club QPR.
QPR vs Arsenal tickets are now available for the crunch London derby at Loftus Road on 4 May!
The 35-year-old journeyman, who moved to Loftus Road on a free transfer from London rivals Crystal Palace in June 2010, now plans to stay with the Hoops until beyond the end of the 2013/14 season.
“I’m absolutely delighted,” Derry told the club’s official website. “It’s changing times once again with Harry (Redknapp) coming in and I find myself playing more now than I did under (former manager) Mark Hughes.
“I’m just so delighted to commit myself to the club for another year — I’m enjoying my football more than ever.”
Derry began his career at Notts County in 1995 and played for Sheffield United, Portsmouth, Crystal Palace, Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United before moving to West London.
QPR have been linked with a move to sign French midfielder Yann M’Vila but Derry recently claimed he is happy at the struggling outfit.
