Scotland go into this evening’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia high on confidence.
Gordon Strachan’s men began their Group D campaign with a creditable 2-1 away defeat to world champions Germany last month.
Prior to that match, the Scots had gone unbeaten in six games – a run which included wins over Macedonia, Croatia, Norway and Poland.
Scotland will begin as heavy favourites, but Georgia are far from being the weakest side in Group D.
Georgia’s last outing was a 2-1 loss to Ireland, who needed a 90th-minute strike from Aiden McGeady.
These two nations last met in October 2007, when Georgia recorded a 2-0 win in Tbilisi, six months after Scotland had won the the reverse fixture 2-1 on home soil.
Scotland will be without crocked Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor, so Strachan must choose whether to replace him with Celtic’s Craig Gordon or Cardiff City’s David Marshall.
Strachan has no other injury problems.
The match will be live on Sky Sports with coverage starting at 4pm. If you don’t have a Sky subscription why not grab yourself a NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass – Pay As You Go access to all 6 Sky Sports channels for the first time ever!
