Rihanna has been confirmed as the first act for next year's Wireless Festival at Hyde Park in London. The US singer will headline the event on Sunday 8th July.
Th pop superstar is currently touring her latest album, Loud, and by the end of December will have performed no less than eleven shows at London's O2 Arena this year, including her headline slot at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. The Wireless Festival concert is her first confirmed UK appearance of 2012, with the news coming as she prepares release her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk, later this month.
Earlier this year, the Barclaycard Wireless Festival was headlined by the Black Eyed Peas, Chemical Brothers and Pulp.
Rihanna tickets are on sale now for the singer's remaining UK shows of 2011. Tickets to next year's Wireless Festival will go on sale on Friday 18th November.
