It has been revealed today that legend of the comedy world, Ricky Gervais is working on a new American sitcom. He is working with Clyde Phillips who has produced such hit TV shows as Dexter, on a new sitcom entitled Afterlife.
The sitcom focuses on the story of an atheist who wakes up in Heaven, and although Gervais will not be the show's protagonist, he will make guest appearances. Fans are very much excited by the news of Gervais's recent activity and he is currently having much success in the US.
Gervais was also nominated for an Emmy for his hosting of the Golden Globes this year to which he responded on his website, "I'd like to win just for the speech I could do. Ha ha.Won't happen but it's nice to be nominated."
Gervais does not have any forthcoming shows, but fans are hopeful he will return to the stand up arena soon.
