Gunners’ record significantly worse in games with Dean in charge.
Gunners fans may be interested to hear about this stat provided by The Daily Mail.
In games where referee Mike Dean is in charge, the North London side have a winning rate of just 7%.
In the fifteen Arsenal games Dean has officiated, the North London side have won just once.
That compares unfavourably with his record against the league’s other big sides.
Chelsea and Manchester City have a win percentage of 63% under Dean, Man United come in at 67% while Tottenham manage to rake in a 50% ratio.
Dean was in charge for Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday, a fixture the visiting side had not won in 37 years.
Dean made the decision to send off Arsenal star Laurent Koscielny in what proved to be a game-changing decision. But the decision was perhaps not that unexpected when considering how Arsenal’s fortunes have gone with Dean in charge since 2009.
The shock League Cup exit to Bradford earlier in the season was also officiated by Mike Dean.
Whether you believe Dean is or is not directly responsible for the failings, Arsenal fans will surely be hoping to avoid his stewardship for the rest of the season as they look to seal a Champions League spot.
