Former Spurs boss looking to take Jenas to QPR on loan.
Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is set for a reunion with former England international Jermaine Jenas.
A source close to the player has confirmed to Fanatix that QPR have made initial enquiries and received a positive response from the Tottenham hierarchy.
The player has just returned back from a failed loan spell at his former club, Nottingham Forest, where the player started just once in a three month spell at the Championship club.
Jenas was sent out on loan to Aston Villa at the beginning of last season but his time at Villa Park was cut short after suffering a ruptured achilles that kept him out for 6 months.
The midfielder continued to struggle with injuries at Forest but despite now having returned to fitness has been told he has no place in Andre Villas Boas’ squad.
Jenas sees the move as the perfect opportunity to re-establish himself in top flight football under the guidance of a manager who knows him well.
Redknapp has often shown a preference for bringing in players he has worked with before and feels Jenas has the technical ability to revive QPR’s season.
With Adel Taraabt likely to miss a number of games on African Cup of Nations duty with Morocco, and Redknapp unconvinced of the commitment of recent arrivals such as Park Ji-Sung, the QPR boss is looking to bring in midfield reinforcements.
