Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine has broken the NCAA rushing record in a single game with 427 rushing yards.
No. 21 Oklahoma is winning easily at home against Kansas as they lead, 41-7. Running back Samaje Perine is enjoying a historic day.
The freshman running back has rushed for 427 yards and five touchdowns, which breaks the single-game rushing record that was just broken last week by Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon.
Gordon had rushed for 408 yards and four touchdowns against Nebraska. Perine took full advantage of the absence of quarterback Trevor Knight.
Here is a tweet from the official SportsCenter Twitter account confirming the rushing record being broken.
