The Spanish giants are desperate to secure a deal for the brilliant Uruguayan in January…
La Liga giants Real Madrid will tempt Liverpool into selling superstar striker Luis Suarez with an offer of £20m plus French forward Karim Benzema, reports the Daily Star.
Since returning from his ten game suspension, Suarez has been nothing short of sensational for high-flying Liverpool, bagging six goals in just five Premier League outings.
Throughout the summer, the Uruguayan demanded a move away from Anfield in order to play Champions League football, but the club refused to let him leave.
Although Arsenal are still interested in the 26-year-old, Suarez has his heart set on a move to Spain, and will throw his toys out of the pram once more should the Reds try and block a move again.
Madrid face a struggle in convincing French forward Benzema to move the other way, however.
Despite being regarded as one of the most deadly marksmen in Europe, Benzema has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu, and is surplus to requirements under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Aware that at some point Suarez will have to leave, Liverpool may take advantage of the opportunity to bring in an immediate top notch replacement, although will likely demands closer to £30m plus the Frenchman.
