The 28-year-old former only joined the Russian club from Blackburn Rovers in a £12m deal in February last year but is latest in a long list of players to be linked with a move to Loftus Road this month.
Redknapp, who has so far failed to land all but two of his targets – France striker Loic Remy and former Portsmouth defender Tal Ben Haim – also admitted an interested in signing Stoke’s Peter Crouch, a player he has already bought on four occasions.
“On Samba, again the chairman is dealing with this. At this stage I don’t think that’s a goer. I like Christopher Samba and he is a very good player but at this stage I don’t see him leaving Russia. Things can changes but at this stage we’re not close to doing anything,” the 65-year-old told the BBC.
Samba has excelled in Russia but the player is reportedly unhappy at the widespread racism in the country and was left saddened when a supporter threw a banana at him during a 1-0 defeat against Spartak Moscow in March.
The former Hertha Berlin centre-half has also been linked with a surprise move to Liverpool this month.
Redknapp also confirmed he is attending an appeal on Tuesday in the hope of attaining a work permit for South Korea left-back Yun-Suk Young, who plays in his homeland for Chunnam Dragons.
