Chelsea take on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter final away to the French champions.
The Parc des Princes will play host to some of the biggest names in football, with both PSG and their Premier League opponents having invested heavily in players thanks to their respective oligarch owners.
Chelsea go into the game in rather indifferent form, having lost two of their last three matches in the English top flight to Aston Villa and Crystal Palace respectively. Conversely, they thrashed top four rivals Arsenal 6-0 in between those two defeats, and Blues boss Jose Mourinho will hope his team can raise their game for a big occasion once again.
In contrast, Laurent Blanc’s PSG side are in formidable form, having won their last nine games in all competitions, and in Zlatan Ibrahimovic they have a striker at the very top of his game.
The mercurial Swede will be ably supported by Edinson Cavani and Lucas Moura on either side of him, with Blaise Matuidi, Marco Verratti and Thiago Motta supplying ammunition from midfield. Gregory Van Der Wiel misses out due to injury.
Chelsea are unable to call upon January signings Nemanja Matic or Mohamed Salah, who are cup tied, while David Luiz and Samuel Eto’o are injured.
The latter player’s absence means that Fernando Torres is expected to lead the line for the Stamford Bridge outfit, with Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Ramires competing for places in the attacking midfield three behind him.
