The Daily Telegraph are reporting Eels prop Fuifui Moioi has walked out on a training session early on Tuesday after being told he would be 18th man for his side’s clash with Manly.
Parramatta Eels cult figure Fuifui Moimoi has reportedly walked out on Eels training on Tuesday after learning he will not make a farewell appearance at Parramatta Stadium on Friday night, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper reports that Moimoi walked out on a gym session early after coach Brad Arthur revealed he would be 18th man for the clash with Manly.
The match is the club’s last at Pirtek Stadium this year and Moimoi is believed to have been desperate to play as he is un-signed for next season.
A team list has revealed that the 34-year-old has been named to play in the NSW Cup with Wentworthville on Sunday.
Having played against the Bulldogs last week, it is understood Moimoi wanted to play to thank fans for their 11-years of support.
Currently sitting in ninth place, the Eels must beat the Sea Eagles to keep their finals hopes alive.
