Unsurprisingly led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who had 25 and 22 points on the night respectively, OKC moved to 37-12 for the season but still trail the San Antonio Spurs at the top of the Western Conference.
Despite heavily relying on their duo to post up big numbers on a nightly basis, Kevin Martin made it a trio of scorers making it past the 20-point mark, with 21 of his own, including 3-for-6 from three point range.
Golden State have been impressive so far this season, but fell 12 points behind after the first quarter with OKC leading by as many as 26 points at one stage, and struggled to really establish themselves in the game aside from a third quarter comeback.
All-Star David Lee contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds, while point-guard Stephen Curry had 14 points and dished out 11 assists.
However, their downfall was the number of turnovers, a whopping 19, with OKC punishing them on the break with 29 points as a direct result.
The Warriors host the Memphis Grizzlies next on Friday night hoping to bounce back, while the Thunder entertain the Phoenix Suns hoping to make it three in a row.
