Several teams have made big name changes to their sides either through injury or suspension early in the NRL season.
The Sharks have dropped a rising star of the code who signaled he is leaving for a rival in 2015, Canberra has been forced to replace two star forwards, while a gun Sea Eagle will make his return from unjust against Parramatta.
TIGERS V RABBITOHS
The Tigers are expected to be 1–17 with last year’s top tryscorer Tim Simona returning from off-season shoulder surgery and Liam Fulton (concussion) expected to play. The Rabbitohs have named Joel Reddy to make his debut against his former club.
BRONCOS V ROOSTERS
The Roosters remain unchanged for the clash. Ben Hannant was named in place of Josh McGuire (suspended), but isn’t expected to play due to a hamstring injury sustained at training this week. He is likely to be replaced by former Rooster Martin Kennedy in the starting side, with young gun Corey Oates added to the bench. Oates will become part of the forward rotation, despite playing most of his NRL in the backs.
PANTHERS V BULLDOGS
No late changes for the Panthers with Dave Simmons (knee) out and Kevin Naiqama named again after a solid performance last week. Jamal Idris will play in the centres and Tim Grant is returning after being sidelined with a calf injury. The Bulldogs squad remains unchanged.
SHARKS V DRAGONS
The Sharks have dropped Michael Lichaa from the squad, with Isaac de Gois recalled. Todd Carney (hamstring) has trained well during the week is expected to return from injury in the local derby. Dragons are expected to be 1–17. Jack de Belin (cork) and Jack Stockwell (hamstring) will be monitored in a final training session.
COWBOYS V WARRIORS
The Cowboys named an unchanged team and are expected to stay 1–17. The Warriors named Manu Vatuvai after he missed last week due to illness and injury while Konrad Hurrell and Sione Lousi have been named on the interchange bench.
SEA EAGLES V EELS
Glenn Stewart (groin) has been named to make his return, while Brett Stewart (hamstring) is still out for a few more rounds. For the Eels, Nathan Peats returns from suspension. Darcy Lussick (suspension) will miss the next four weeks after entering an early guilty plea.
RAIDERS V TITANS
Titans five-eighth Aidan Sezer (quad) is out and will be replaced by Ash Harrison. Beau Falloon (knee) is expected to play despite not training. Josh Papalii (ankle) and Shaun Fensom (suspension) are unavailable for the Raiders, which brings Jarrad Kennedy and Paul Vaughan into the starting side.
STORM V KNIGHTS
Craig Bellamy has announced an unchanged line-up heading into the match. The Knights have produced an 18-man squad, with their starting 13 unchanged.
