Wests Tiger Tim Simona and Gold Coast’s Aidan Sezer headline a long list of injury dramas heading into round four.
Roosters v Sea Eagles
In the grand final rematch the Roosters line-up is unchanged, with Siosiua Taukeiaho 18th man again. Manly have a number of changes with co-captain Jason King (suspension) ruled out and Kieran Foran (calf) being named but unlikely to play due to injury. Jamie Lyon will shift from centre to five-eighth with Tony Satini expected to be named in the starting side.
Dragons v Broncos
The Dragons are expected to be 1-17, with Jack Stockwell 18th man. Jack De Belin is back in the 17 this week after being included as a late addition in last round’s win against the Sharks. Josh Dugan (knee) is still unavailable. Josh McGuire comes back from suspension for the Broncos, dropping Martin Kennedy to the five-man bench.
Warriors v Tigers
Tim Simona (concussion) isn’t travelling to Wellington and will be replaced by Chris Lawrence. Captain Robbie Farah is expected to play despite missing training late in the week due to a calf strain. The Warriors have named Thomas Leuluai (groin) to make his first appearance of the season and he will start on the bench. Feleti Mateo (knee) has been ruled out.
Eels v Panthers
Panthers are expected to be 1-17, with Peter Wallace coming back after missing last round with a groin strain. Chris Sandow and Ken Sio return to first grade this weekend for the Eels. Ben Smith will miss the next few rounds with a finger injury.
Bulldogs v Storm
Chase Stanley comes back for the Bulldogs after a late withdrawal last week due to a cork. Tim Lafai holds his position at centre, seeing Drury Low shifted onto the six-man bench, which will be cut to four on game day. The Storm are expected to be 1-17 and have named Jordan McLean. He’ll be available to play after the NRL judiciary ruled his charge will be held over.
Rabbitohs v Raiders
Shaun Fenson (suspension) comes back. Edrick Lee (foot) has been ruled out with Bill Tupou to replace him on the wing. George Burgess is free to play for Souths this weekend after his high tackle charge was downgraded. Dylan Walker and Chris McQueen (both ankle) come back from injury.
Knights v Sharks
Wayne Bennett has only made one change to the Knights 17-man line-up with Korbin Sims replacing Alex McKinnon (neck). Sosaia Feki (knee) is out for the Sharks and will be replaced by Nathan Stapleton. Andrew Fifita returns.
Titans v Cowboys
William Zillman (hamstring) is out for two-three weeks, bringing Anthony Don into the starting 17 on the wing, with David Mead to shift to fullback. Aidan Sezer (quad) will be monitored, but is unlikely to play. The Cowboys squad is unchanged.
