NFL Wembley tickets are selling fast for the 2013 game between Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers at the famous London stadium.
Pittsburgh Steelers meet Minnesota Vikings in next season’s NFL game in London – and with the event a sell out each season, the 2013 NFL London game is sure to be a popular occasion.
The Vikings’ vice-president Lester Bagley is certainly excited, and he feels the UK audience is both growing and that the fans are more knowledgeable than ever.
“They’re very excited about the matchup; they know their NFL football,” said Bagley, who went with a number of other Minnesota Vikings representatives to watch the 2012 game between Patriots and Rams.
According to Bagley, there was a rally of 44,000 American football fans in London prior to the Patriots-Rams game, whilst 41,000 showed up nearly four hours before kickoff for a tailgating party outside Wembley Stadium.
“We saw all kinds of jerseys – a lot of Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen jerseys and a couple Brett Favre jerseys,” Bagley said. “A merchandise tent about 30 yards long had a line three deep, and people were waiting an hour to buy a NFL jersey or NFL hat. They are crazy about NFL gear.”
Next season’s game promises to be even better.
