The West Indies are set to conclude their tour of New Zealand with the second and final Twenty20 match of the current series.
The hosts won the three-game Test series, before the two nations drew over five ties in the one-day internationals and now the Kiwis lead 1-0 in the shortest form of the sport.
In the first T20 between the sides on Saturday Brendon McCullum and Luke Ronchi inspired the home team to a comfortable 81 run victory.
At five wickets down the pair rallied at the crease and put on an unbeaten 85-run partnership in the first innings at Auckland.
Martin Guptill and Colin Munro also put in good knocks and were only stopped thanks to the inspired bowling from Tino Best.
The West Indian was one of few positives for the visitors in the match and finished with figures of 3-40, whilst their batting line-up floundered.
Lendl Simmons and Johnson Charles failed to find any form with the bat and with 10 overs left captain Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell had too much to do to save the match.
In the end Andre Fletcher top-scored for the nation with just 23, but there was great disappointment as Simmons, Russell and Sunil Narine were all dismissed for ducks.
