Running back Ahmad Bradshaw released after six years with the Giants.
After a disappointing past season the New York Giants have wasted little time in making changes after releasing running back Ahmad Bradshaw on Wednesday.

Defensive tackle Chris Canty was also cut, but it is the departure of Bradshaw that dominates the headlines as the Giants make moves to free up cap space.
Bradshaw, 26, was a part of both Super Bowl wins in recent years, and scored the winning touchdown in the victory over the New England Patriots in 2012.
However, similarly to Canty, both men have been plagued by injuries in recent times, with Bradshaw suffering from an on-going foot issue. Despite the split, he was seemingly understanding of the decision when speaking to ESPN New York.
“I saw it coming because of the money. Everything is about money I guess, so yes I was expecting it. I’m not discouraged at all. I’m just looking towards getting healthy and working with somebody else.”
Both general manager Jerry Reese and head coach Tom Couglin paid tribute to Bradshaw, describing him as one of the toughest football players that they’ve been around.
It is believed the emergence of Andre Brown and first-round pick David Wilson made the decision a lot easier for the Giants, despite the latter still showing signs of rawness, with certain areas that they will hope to develop.
The Giants will now begin to look toward the new season hoping to vastly improve on their performance last campaign.
