New Orleans Saints guard Ben Grubbs has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
Jimmy Graham Seahawks – New Orleans Saints trade All-Pro tight end to Seattle Seahawks
Curtis Lofton released – Saints release linebacker in effort to clear salary cap space
Mark Ingram resigns – Saints re-sign running back to four-year, $16 million
The Saints recently traded away tight end Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks, and they are continuing to make a strong effort to get back under the salary cap as they were $16 million over.
Grubbs is a two-time Pro Bowler, so his presence will provide an instant upgrade for a Chiefs offensive line that struggled through a rebuilding phase.
Meanwhile, Brees will have a more difficult time carrying the load for the Saints offense as he hopes to bounce back from a disappointing season.
