According to NBA.com’s 2014/15 survey, league general managers believe that the San Antonio Spurs will win another championship this year.
The GMs gave their answers to 56 questions and were not allowed to vote for their own team or players in the questions. As a result, the Spurs were chosen to repeat with 46.2 percent of the votes which was well ahead of second-placed Cleveland Cavaliers with 15.4 percent.
Similarly, it was a one-horse race in the voting for league MVP with LeBron James chosen by 67.9 percent of the general managers. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant would most likely have received more than 21.4 percent but the star forward is ruled out for six to eight weeks after foot surgery.
In addition, Cleveland received the most votes (89.3) for making the best off-season moves while James’ return to the franchise was picked as the most surprising move of the summer.
Elsewhere, Jabari Parker was picked as the Rookie of the Year with 42.9 percent of the votes with Andrew Wiggins finishing in second place with 17.9.
