James ready to bring back his pre-game ritual…
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has revealed that he may let the fans vote on whether or not he should bring back his infamous chalk toss.
Having returned to the franchise this summer, James has considered the possibility of bringing back his pre-game ritual and will now seek fan input on social media in order to make a decision.
James carried out a similar vote earlier this summer when trying to determine whether or not to wear his old No.23 jersey or stick with the No.6 he wore during his four years with the Miami Heat.
“I may,” James said Friday when asked if he has thought about resuming his patented powder poof. “I’m going to let the fans decide and see what they think. If they want me to, I will do it.”
The chalk toss is a variation of the same habit that Kevin Garnett has and Michael Jordan used to have, and James reminded everyone of what it looks like with a post on Instagram.
The two-time NBA champion had previously suggested that he would let his two sons make the decision for him, but after revealing that all they care about is him playing basketball back in Cleveland, he will now allow fans to have their say on the matter.
James stopped the chalk toss during the 2011 playoffs but it appears as though he is now ready to bring it back if the fans want to see it again.
