Naples club want Demba Ba.
Napoli are ready to turn their attentions to Chelsea’s Demba Ba after agreeing a fee with Real Madrid for Gonzalo Higuain, reports Sky Italia.
A move to Naples would see Ba reunited with Rafa Benitez, who was interim manager of Chelsea when the Senegalese arrived at Stamford Bridge from Newcastle United in January.
Napoli look set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Real’s Higuain after the La Liga outfit reportedly accepted a €37m bid for the Argentine, who could be partnered with Ba next term.
The 28-year-old scored 13 Premier League goals in 20 appearances for Newcastle before moving to West London but managed just two in 14 matches for Chelsea and was often overlooked in favour of Fernando Torres.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has openly boasted that the club have a transfer budget of €124.5m this summer.
