N-Dubz dropped by US record label
It has been confirmed that N-Dubz have been dropped by their American record label Def Jam records earlier this week.

The British hip-hop trio were signed to Def Jam as recently as 2010. The reason for the split was cited as a "clash of personalities" between the band and the label. In an interview with The Sun, rapper Dappy said: "Hey might say they've dropped us but we were never going to co-operate with them when they decided to change what we are. If we had co-operated we would still be signed."

He elaborated: "But I stuck my finger up at them when they wanted us to make another Being N-Dubz TV show. [Fellow member] Tulisa thought we should do it because we could make some money out of it, but I said no."

The label's statement said: "N-Dubz have left the Def Jam imprint in the USA due to creative differences over musical direction. This was 100 per cent the band's decision and they remain signed to Universal worldwide."

The trio will perform at next weekend's V Festival.

N-Dubz tickets are available now.
