The manager of Michael Schumacher says the retired Formula One driver is still gradually recovering from injuries sustained in a ski accident.

Sabine Kehm issued a statement to say that “as often in such situations no day is like the next,” and continued to stress the Schumacher family’s desire for privacy.

“The family continues to strongly believe in Michael’s recovery,” continued Kehm, adding that the priority “is not the speed of the recovery but that Michael’s healing process progresses in a continuous and controlled way.”

Despite a report earlier this week in German tabloid Bild that Schumacher had been suffering with pneumonia, nothing in Kehm’s statement suggested that was the case.
