UK comedian Michael McIntyre has quit hit television show Britain's Got Talent in order to focus on his upcoming UK stand-up tour.
McIntyre appeared as a judge alongside Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff throughout the last series, but ITV have now confirmed that he will not return.
"We wish him all the best and look forward to working with him again," an ITV spokesman said.
A source added: "Michael has been weighing it up for a while as he does like the show and enjoyed being on the panel, but his first love is comedy and he wanted to embark on a tour and concentrate on that."
Michael McIntyre tickets are available for the comedian's huge 2012 UK tour, set to take place throughout August, September, October, November and December next year.
