After his incredible 61-point night on Monday, LeBron James and the Miami Heat travel to Houston to take on the Rockets hoping to extend their winning streak.
James led the Heat to an eighth straight win with the highest scoring performance of his career against the Charlotte Bobcats, making 22 of 33 shots for 61 points.
The four-time MVP set various team records in the process, with teammate Shane Battier marvelling at his efficiency as James continues to go through the gears in order to hold on to that MVP award for another year.
The 29-year-old will continue to wear his protective mask to shield his broken nose, but has averaged 37.1 points on 63.7 percent shooting in his last seven outings as the Heat have improved to 43-14 for the season.
Despite their own 40-19 record, Houston haven’t been able to slow down either James or teammate Dwyane Wade in previous encounters, but they have won 11 of 13 overall heading into this contest and will be full of confidence on home court.
The Rockets are 17-3 against Eastern Conference opponents this season, going 12-0 at home, while Miami are 17-4 against the West.
James Harden believes the visit of the defending champions will be a great test for his team, and insists they that must limit their turnovers and dominate the boards in order to silence James and Co.
However, that is easier said than done, and with Wade expected to return to the line-up after sitting out on Monday, they will need a significant effort on both ends in order to secure the win.
This will also mark a battle of the coaches after Erik Spoelstra was named East coach of the month for February, while Kevin McHale claimed the award for the West, and the pair will hope to stay in contention for March with another win on Tuesday night.
