The likes of Franco Di Santo, Maynor Figueroa and James McCarthy have all been linked with moves in recent weeks but Martinez insists the club will not be selling any of its assets.
Speculation has increased in recent weeks that McCarthy might be making a move, with Everton said to be ready to swoop as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini. Arsenal are also known to be long term admirers of the player.
‘It doesn’t surprise me at all. I think we’ve got players who could attract anyone’s interest. That’s not going to bring anything negative to our squad, it’s the opposite. Everything is about Wigan Athletic at this point and individual situations will always be resolved in the best interests of the football club.’
Wigan have already brought in Roger Espinoza from Kansas City and also secured the signing of Manchester United youngster Angelo Henriquez on loan.
Martinez has stated that he is looking to bring in one or two more additions to the squad with the club currently sitting in the relegation zone. They sit in 18th with 18 points, level with Southampton on goal difference but having played a game more.
