Nani pens a new contract at Old Trafford that keeps the winger there until 2018.
After a summer of speculation linking the winger with teams such as AS Roma, Galatasaray, Juventus and AS Monaco, Manchester United have now awarded Nani a new five-year deal.

It was thought that the Portugal international was not in new manager Moyes’ plans at Old Trafford and many bookmakers suspended betting on the midfielder leaving.
Nani joined United in 2007 for a £17.3m fee from Sporting Lisbon and was labeled as the new Cristiano Ronaldo – a position that was perhaps a little unfairly unattainable.
Despite that, no other player since 2009 provided more assists in the Premier League than the Portuguese ace and to date the 26-year-old has set up 73 goals in 217 matches for the Red Devils.
Despite rumours that Nani would be leaving the English champions, this new contract suggests otherwise and the midfielder seems delighted at staying for another five years.
Nani: “Playing for #mufc has been a fantastic experience. I’m very happy that the new manager has shown this faith in me.”

The Cape Verde born star has also been a regular feature on the wing for the Portugal national team, playing alongside Ronaldo and to date has earned 66 caps and scored 13 goals.
Nani is one of several talented wingers already at United and will compete with the likes of Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Wilfried Zaha for a starting place.
