Premier League giants in contention to sign Ibrahima Mbaye…
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring Inter Milan prospect Ibrahima Mbaye, and could make an offer to the Italian club for his services when the transfer window opens this summer, reports talkSPORT.
The 19-year-old Senegalese is comfortable playing at either right-back or left-back, and has shone on loan at Livorno this term, where he’s started 17 matches in Serie A already. He is an excellent tackler, although his crossing and passing could do with some work.
Liverpool are in desperate need a of a left-back, with Jose Enrique perpetually injured, and loanee Frenchman Aly Cissokho unlikely to stay at the club beyond this season.
Manchester United similarly need to strengthen the left of defence, with Patrice Evra ageing, and potentially leaving at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Mbaye is physically impressive, and if he improves on his technical qualities, he has the ability to develop into a top notch Premier League fullback.
