David Moyes welcomes back RVP in a very winnable match…
Defence:
With Rafael fit again, Moyes can pick his first-choice back five for the first time in a number of weeks. Patrice Evra will continue at left-back, with veteran defenders Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand almost certain to start in the centre-back spots, in front of Spanish stopper David De Gea.
Midfield:
Ryan Giggs and Phil Jones deputised in midweek, and despite playing their parts in a victory over bitter rivals Liverpool, will drop to the bench for Moyes’ preferred combination of Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini. The £27m Belgian was totally dominated by Yaya Toure in an embarrassing 4-1 derby defeat to Manchester City last weekend, and he will have to up his performance on Saturday afternoon.
Attack:
With Robin Van Persie available again, Moyes will drop Javier Hernandez and Nani, with Danny Welbeck, who was rested midweek against Liverpool, coming in. Welbeck will start from an advanced left position, with Wayne Rooney in the no.10 position and Antonio Valencia will continue to bomb down the right after being rested in midweek.
