How the Premier League champions fared on Boxing Day.
It’s been a good festive period for Manchester United so far, as disappointing home defeats have since been followed by five successive victories.
The latest of these was hard fought, as the Premier League champions came from 2-0 down at the KC Stadium to win 2-3.
Here’s how the United stars rated:
David De Gea – 6
Couldn’t be blamed for either goal, but made some suspect decisions at times although did do well to deny James Chester late on.
Rafael – 5
Looked a little off the pace and didn’t even make it until half-time after picking up a groin strain and having to be taken off.
Chris Smalling – 6
A little suspect at the back at times although looks a lot more comfortable playing centrally than the Englishman ever did at right-back.
Jonny Evans – 5
After looking so competent of late this was something of a throwback for the Northern Irishman who looked lost as Hull scored two quick goals.
Patrice Evra – 5
Has been arguably the club’s best player this term, but this was not a good performance from the Frenchman who lacked verve in both defence and attack.
