Etihad Stadium club eyeing record bid for duo.
MANCHESTER CITY look set to send shockwaves through Europe this winter by launching a double bid for Real Madrid pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Fabio Coentrao.
Coentrao has become a mainstay of the Real first team and his compatriot Ronaldo is being courted by affluent French side PSG.
Moreover, with the future of Jose Mourinho still uncertain, City want to capitalise and strike while the iron is hot.
And money appears to be object, as they are bankrolled by their super rich owner Sheikh Mansour.
According to Portuguese paper O Jogo, City are prepared to offer £134m for the pair.

While Cristiano Ronaldo may be ‘sad’ at some aspects of life at the Bernebeu, it’s highly unlikely that the former Manchester United star would consider joining the Red Devils arch-rivals City.
Ronaldo is enjoying another fine season and is one of the few players in world football who can be considered priceless. It would take one hell of a hissy fit from the 27-year-old to force Real to consider offloading him.
Fabio Coentrao, by contrast, could be considering his future having become a back-up option for Real, though Man City do have a two effective left-backs with Gael Clichy edging out Aleksandr Kolarov at present.
The Portuguese international may feel he could unseat the French international and could be ready for a new challenge.
Mancini would clearly like to spend big but Man City’s owners may demand that the Italian sells before he buys given the size of his ever expanding Etihad Stadium squad.
