Argentine to be used for Ronaldo talks.
Manchester United could look to Angel Di Maria to persuade Cristiano Ronaldo to re-join the club from Real Madrid next summer, according to the Daily Express.
The Argentine made the move from Real to United this summer and may now have a major role to play off the pitch as well as on it, as he may be able to lure his old team-mate for a reunion in Manchester.
Ronaldo is currently known to be unsettled at the Bernabeu and considering a move away next summer, with Chelsea and Manchester City also thought to be contenders to snap him up.
Di Maria could make the difference due to his fine link-up with the Portuguese international during their time together in Spain, and Louis van Gaal is said to be quietly confident that a deal can be done.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain could be ready to offload four first-team players in their bid to join the running for Ronaldo.
