Van Gaal to be allowed to bolster his squad further.
Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is set to meet with manager Louis van Gaal to discuss the club’s transfer strategy on Friday, report the Mirror, with the Red Devils hierarchy ready to sanction another huge spending spree, to the tune of £150 million.
Three new players at the top of Louis van Gaal’s wishlist and will be on the agenda, with the Old Trafford club hoping that this trio can accelerate their ascent back to the top:
Kevin Strootman (AS Roma)
Roma chiefs admitted recently that they would be forced to consider any “huge” offers for playmaker Kevin Strootman, with United known to be firm admirers of the Dutch international. If he can prove his fitness after a long injury lay off, van Gaal may well view him as the final piece in his midfield jigsaw.
