3,000 category A tickets returned to Arsenal.
The fans of Abu Dhabi owned billionaires Manchester City have returned around 3,000 of their allotted ticket allocation for the game between the two clubs on Sunday, according to The Independent.
The Manchester club returned the tickets after they failed to find buyers for the tickets. That’s enough for the Gunners to put a whole block of tickets back on sale behind the Clock End to their own supporters.
Priced at £62 for an adult ticket, the fans of the Premier League champions are clearly not feeling as flush as their club going into the New Year.
Man City lavished over £40 million on new signings this summer, but they might be better advised treating their fans to a late Christmas present with the club languishing in 2nd this season, seven points off leaders and city rivals Manchester United.
The club may well point to the fact the game comes so soon after the busy Christmas period, whilst also coming in near the end of the weekend after being scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Both sides will be looking for victory on Sunday with Man City keen to keep the pressure on United while Arsenal are looking to climb into the top four.
