Citizens look to get the jump on Premier League target.
Manchester City are reportedly lining up a £20m move for Arsenal and Liverpool target Marco Reus and have shot into the lead in the race to land his signature, the Daily Express reports.
Reports claim Manuel Pellegrini’s side have made an official enquiry for Borussia Dortmund’s coveted attacking midfielder, and have asked for updates over his availability.
Dortmund chief Jurgen Klopp is thought to be desperate to keep a hold of the 25-year-old, and will continue to offer the player a renewed deal, despite remaining vulnerable to losing him.
The German superstar is contracted until 2017, but a £20m buy-out clause is set to kick in during the summer of 2015, enabling those with financial muscle to poach him from under the noses of Dortmund chiefs.
