The Italy international threw a leaving party in his house in Chesire on Sunday night for close friends, where he gave them all gifts from his controversial time in Manchester, before saying goodbye, telling them that he was joining the Rossoneri this week.
It is understood that the two clubs have agreed a £17 million fee for the forward, who cost City £22m when they bought him from Inter Milan in Aug 2010 and while City were hoping to recoup the majority of that fee, Milan may add on talented midfield player Kevin Prince-Boateng as part of the deal.
“The truth about Mario? Ask the others because I can’t say. Until January 31 everything is possible,” said Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola.
“A loan deal has been excluded by their directors.”
However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani was not so certain of the deal taking place, saying: “At today’s price it’s 99.5 per cent certain that he is not coming. The stock market is closed until tomorrow.”
